Bildspec Operable Walls Complete an Education Rollout over April School Holiday Period
Ermington Public School recently completed an upgrade to their learning facilities. Bildspec was selected as the operable wall supplier of choice to supply acoustic moveable walls to this exciting project which completed in April 2021. This was done at the same time as completing operable wall projects for classrooms for schools at Rockdale, Hornsby, Lane Cove, Cambridge Park, Clemton Park, Cherrybrook and Pennant Hills. All done during the school holiday period to minimise disruption to students and teachers.
Bildspec take pride in being a part of upgrading existing educational buildings and creating attractive, open-plan spaces that are increasingly connected. The results are learning and activity spaces that flow one into the next, doing away with traditional rigid, isolated classrooms.
These walls used a product called Autex Composition, which not only comes in a vast number of colours, but also is pinnable and has great acoustic properties (NRC Vanlue of 0.4). This product is hard wearing and well suited to the classroom environment. The accompanying image shows what a difference adding a bit of colour makes to boost the senses, transforming the original dull grey wall to this new vivacious colour, called “Citrus”.
